The free plan runs on the same authoritative DNS infrastructure as paid plans.
What’s included
A real DNS service for real workloads
Free DNS features are not deliberately degraded, limits are explicit and enforced. PTRDNS uses PowerDNS internally and exposes standard DNS mechanisms and APIs.
Generous limits
Use unlimited records within your zone and serve up to 200,000 DNS queries per month, with a minimum TTL of 120 seconds.
Essential features
DNSSEC, Dynamic DNS and PowerDNS API support are included, with no proprietary control plane or vendor lock-in.

How to get the Free Plan
Get started in three steps

Create an account at https://app.dev.ptrdns.net/signup.
2. Confirm
Confirm your email address.
3. Select
Choose the Free DNS plan on the plan selection page.
Credit card requirement
The billing platform, Chargebee, requires a credit card even for the free plan. The card is not charged unless you explicitly move to a paid plan.
Exceeding the limits
The plan is subject to PTRDNS standard Terms of Service. If your zone exceeds the monthly query limit, we’ll email you to request that you send less traffic, for example by increasing TTLs, or upgrade to a paid plan.
Repeated or ignored violations may result in temporary suspension of the affected zone. PTRDNS does not silently throttle traffic.
Plan Comparison
