Terms of Service

Last Updated: 2024-06-13

Welcome to PTRDNS! These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the PTRDNS service (“Service”). By signing up for, or using PTRDNS, you acknowledge that you have read and understood these Terms and that you agree to be bound by them. If you’re using PTRDNS on behalf of an organization, you agree to these Terms on behalf of that organization.

  1. Description of Service

PTRDNS provides hosting of DNS zones on a subscription basis. You may create and modify your DNS zones via a web application or an API (Application Programming Interface). The hosting of DNS zones (the Service) is a paid-for, subscription-based service with monthly or quarterly subscription plans, with a 14-day trial period for new subscribers.

PTRDNS allocates a quota of DNS zones and queries to each subscription plan, and provides tools to monitor those quotas.

The Service is subject to these Terms and any additional terms and policies we provide on our website https://www.ptrdns.net .

  1. Use of the Service

To use the Service, you must first register an Account via our website, indicating an email address and a password. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account information and of all activities that occur under your account.

PTRDNS provides tools and documentation to help you complete the setup of your DNS zones, but it’s not responsible for ensuring that you complete the setup.

You are responsible to maintain the usage of the resources allocated to your account under the quota. You may choose to obtain a higher quota allocation by upgrading your subscription or modify your usage of the Service to remain under the currently allocated quota.

You must be at least 18 years old to use our Service. By using the Service, you represent and warrant that you meet this requirement.

  1. Subscription and Payment

Subscription Plans: PTRDNS offers monthly and quarterly subscription plans. Details of the plans and pricing can be found on our website.

Trial Period: New subscribers are entitled to a 14-day trial period. You may cancel your subscription at any time during this trial period without charge. After the trial period, your subscription will automatically convert to a paid monthly or quarterly subscription, unless cancelled.

Billing: Subscription fees are billed in advance at the beginning of the billing cycle, which can be 1 month or 3 months. A billing cycle begins the day you subscribe and ends after one calendar month. By subscribing, you authorize PTRDNS to charge your payment method on a recurring basis.

Changes to Fees: PTRDNS reserves the right to change the subscription fees at any time. We will notify you of any changes at least 30 days before they take effect.

Payment: In order to provide secure payments, PTRDNS uses the global payment processor Paddle in our check-out on our website. Paddle offers several payment methods depending on your country, including debit cards, credit cards and PayPal. Transactions will appear on your bank/card statement as PADDLE.NET*PTRDNS. Read more at https://www.paddle.com .

All fees are exclusive of all taxes, levies, or duties imposed by taxing authorities. Where required, Paddle will collect those taxes on behalf of the taxing authorities and remit those taxes to the taxing authorities

You may upgrade your subscription at any time, effective immediately and subject to payment of the pro-rated difference between your then current plan and the upgraded plan for the current billing cycle.

You may downgrade your subscription at any time, effective at the end of the current billing cycle and subject to a reduction in usage to comply with the limits of the downgraded plan.

  1. Cancellation and Right to Withdrawal

Cancellation: You may cancel your subscription at any time. If you cancel within the 14-day trial period, you will not be charged. If you cancel after the trial period, your subscription will remain active until the end of the current billing period. You will not be refunded if you cancel your subscription once a billing cycle has started.

Right to Withdrawal: If you are a private individual, you have the right to withdraw from your subscription within 14 days of the start of the subscription without giving any reason. To exercise the right of withdrawal, you must inform us of your decision by a clear statement (e.g., opening a support ticket on our customer support portal, an email message to our contact address, a letter sent by post). You may use the model withdrawal form provided below, but it is not obligatory.

Model Withdrawal Form:

(Complete and return this form only if you wish to withdraw from the contract)

I hereby give notice that I withdraw from my contract for the provision of the following service:

Please note that the right to withdrawal can be exercised only during the initial 14-day trial period, according to the judgment of the European Court of Justice (CJEU) rendered on 2023-10-05.

Once your subscription ends, PTRDNS has 5 days to disable your account and DNS zones, and 30 days to delete your account and DNS zones data.
